MOD EDIT: As we wait for the files from the old forum to be transferred in, I have temporarily hosted the owner's and service manuals at a site called box.net. Click on the links below and it should automatically take you a page where all three files are visible. They are PDF files and you can save them to your computer. If anyone has any issues, contact "jonathan180iq" or "Admin" and we can send you the files directly. Thanks for being patient.

Files 1 is the 230 page service manual for your gz250! This is the FULL service manual that came from the dealer. Covers EVERYTHING you could want on your gz250 from teardown to maintenance. What an awesome book!

File #2 Is the Suzuki GZ250 Owners manual for all years GZ250. Another book you cannot be without for your GZ.

File #3 is a 52 page parts breakdown, complete with part numbers.

Download options:

1. Service Manual - PDF File (https://app.box.com/s/aaokv6nqyhq0hsw71req)
2. Owners Manual - PDF File (https://app.box.com/s/pomk3dgmvvo8qrivefch)
3. GZ250 Parts Manual (https://app.box.com/s/bg53kxt9vwecnr0xm7ab)

On page 45 it says to "Remove the rubber cap and then turn the slotted end of cam chain tension adjuster...in the CLOCKWISE direction. I did that, and it just tightened the spring and when I let go it recoiled. I turned it COUNTER CLOCKWISE, and it seemed to "lock the push rod".
Anyone else agree on this???

Have'nt been that far into mine, YET. I do remember reading something about it though that just did'nt make sense to me, like it was telling you to do the reverse of what you really needed to do. O_o

We should take a note of it. I'll move your post into the service manual thread. Hopefully someone can come along to confirm it.

Are the TU250 manuals available? Is there that much of a difference to matter?

No.....at least not yet.....and yes, lots of differences......even the frame, since the GZ is a cruiser (pegs forward) and the TU is a standard (pegs center).

Is there much difference ? Oh yeah. I agree with Easy. I will go out on a limb and offer this opinion as well. The TU is a reincarnation of an older proven model with FI and enough other updates to enter the North American market. Due to the styling and configuration of the bike I would say it is a workhorse in many 3rd world countries in the original version. Feel free to disagree, we can do that politely as adults.

Hello,
could anybody help me to upload the wiring diagram of the bike.
The diagram in the manual is hardly to read, because it's quality (wire colors cannot be readed)
Maybe a good resolution picture would be good for me. (high-tech scan doesn't needed:-))
For me service manual page "7-10" would be the best one.
Thanks a lot!!
BR.

If you're an eBay user and aren't afraid of buying from foreign countries, search for this manual. Sometimes you can buy it for couple euros or $

I am having the same issue as jwells18 above me, the links seem to be broken. Any advice on how to get the manuals?

Thank you!

We are working on sorting this issue out. The forum transfer caused multiple issues like this. Keep being patient with us.

*If anyone has the old PDF still saved on their computer, I can fix the link. Just let me know.

The downloads from the main page should be working now. Just click and you they should open automatically in a new tab.

**Note -they are hosted on an external site in PDF format. If there are any issues, let me know.

Agreeing with TommyJoeBilly here. On my 02 gz250. To lock the cam chain tensioner so as to remove it from the engine, i had to turn the slot screwdriver COUNTER clockwise, for it to tighten and lock. Turning it clockwise as the manual states just twists the spring, which make the screwdriver want to twist back, unless you really really keep twisting clockwise, at which point you break the tensioner spring. So now i know the manual is wrong. :)

Check out Partzilla. If you enter the info of the bike make, model, etc. and part you are looking for, it will show if it is available or not. Prices are pretty competitive.
