I dont know if this is the right place to ask this, but is there any smaller rear sprockets for this bike. If anyone knows please tell me.

You could drill bigger holes (8.5 -> 10.5) in the JT Sprockets JTR 819.39 to match GZ250 bolts.

And why would you change to a smaller rear when a 1 tooth larger front is SOOOOO much easier ??

Changing the front would be easier if you could get one. Every place mentioned on here, I have ordered and been backordered for weeks, so I cancel the orders. I am not waiting 3-8 weeks for a sprocket.

As opposed to what.........not getting one EVER?? :??:

I have suggested repeatedly that you try to get one through a Suzuki dealer. Have you tried that too?

Yes, as opposed to ever. I dont mind the sound of the engine, so if I never replace it with a 16T, no big deal; I will not ever deal with my dealer again and the other close dealer tried and was told 4 weeks. Heck, the spokes for my back wheel are on backorder. I have been waiting 3 weeks for them. Since I have one broke spoke on the rear, I will wait for them.

I think Easy was talking about this:

Hey, guys! I don't know if you already have it, but I've found the Suzuki OEM part number for the 16T sprocket!
It was used in the GN/DR 400 1980-1982. You may buy it at any Suzuki dealer.

Here we go... # 27511-37200

I don't think Mcintyre comes around anymore but, here you go...

Sprocket Specialist part # 461-(desired number of teeth)

The OEM equal would be # 461-41
