Somebody on here has a LARGE, sport style shield mounted. I thought it was you but the only reference I could find in a search was about a Suzuki shield. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Anyhooo.... I've about decided my small shield may need an upgrade and I need to find out who it was with the "big one" so I can go shopping.

When I met Bob on the Alabama/Georgia ride, he had a big cover-all shield that I commented on looking very protective.

I haven't seen him post in a while but I will certainly vouch for his shield being good for overall protection. He did comment that his knees still get wet in the rain.

The side wings seem to protect your hands from the wind and the shield was tall enough to get the main blast of front air off of the rider.

Bob, of course, can tell you more.

Yep, that's the one.
Similar to what I had on my last bike and I liked it.

Hoping he can point me in the right direction before I go out searching on my own.

Not only is the shield larger, the crash bars are not just for decoration. They look like they are the real deal if you drop it.

Well I'll be.
Now I have 2 reasons to be looking for him!

I'm here. Just been real busy lately.

The windshield is: National Cycle N8372 Plexistar 2. Its great in the rain and cold. Not so great in the heat. When its hot and your on the highway is not so bad but in 100 degree weather in slow city traffic it blocks to much air.
National Cycle makes lots of windshields that fit GZ250s.

The crash bars are pretty much the same thing as the police have. You can get them here:

1000-25 Full Engine Guard Suzuki GZ250 '99'-05 $170.00
You can't order them on line you have to call MC Enterprises. The number is on their web site.
BTW they do work and you can get highway pegs that clamp on them.

Thank you!

Still on the fence with the shield. Guess I'll stick with what I've got for a while.
I think what I want is something between the small "stock" one and what you have.
I'm thinking about that 600 mile trip to Atlanta in July.......may be better off to have the air flow !!

Any reason to think the guards wouldn't fit an '06?
Pretty sure the base frame hasn't changed lately.
