Anyone know where to find inexpensive sissy bars for the 250? Do you know which models fit this bike?

The only ones that I have seen here in the states are made by Suzuki and cost almost $300.

In Europe and on the Spanish Marauder forum, I have seen custom options and aftermarket options that all look different.

I never could find a link to puchse one though, so good luck.

Yup. The Suzuki one is pretty nice, though; it's what I have on my bike. I think I found it brand-new on ebay for around $250, which is a little less than getting it from Suzuki. It limits your options for luggage due to the small size, but the aftermarket options for this bike are pretty limited anyway. If you really want one, I'd say just suck it up and shell out the $ for one that will definitely work. The MC Enterpises one sounds like a pretty good deal, but you can't get a look at it on that page that Dupo linked to.

Nice find, Dupo.

While on the topic, I sawed off the actual backrest part because It got in the way and severly limited storage. So, in essence, what I have is just a rear rack.

If that's something you are going for, they have this what is called a:

121-25 Dlx Rear Mini Rack Suzuki GZ250 '99-'04 $95.00

That looks like a pretty good deal.

What does no stud mean? It can't perform very good?

Hi, I'm a brand-new motorcycle owner. I have a 2007 which was new-in-box when we got it. I find myself needing the sissy bar to provide a bit of extra safety for my son to ride with me. (maybe the extra safety is all in my head, but it'll make me feel better!)

My question is, are the sissy bars mentioned on this thread compatible with the 2007? I understand that Suzuki has not changed this bike much - but the website is pretty specific about the years. Would there be any issues with installing the 99-05?

Thanks - from what I've read so far, you all seem like very nice, helpful people.

For major parts like that, all of the model years are the same.

Should be no problem. Please post details.
Do they have anything else that fits the GZ?
I'd like an engine guard but the OEM one is a joke.

Thanks for the info...as soon as they open the phone lines on Monday, we'll be ordering one.

MC has an engine guard for $170, in their blowout section. Unfortunately, that section is not very forthcoming with details. I guess that's how it goes when you're looking for deals, though!

The engine gard is only sold direct from MC. Call their toll free order number and ask questions. They are very helpful.

I have two of these. They are an easy bolt on replacement and are way better than the Suzuki. Thet are almost identical the the ones used on police motorcycles.

What's the difference in a sissy bar w/ studs and one without? :??:

No, I saw it, I just didn't understand that "no studs" means just the pads (that's what it appears to be). If that's what it is, why still call it a "sissy bar"? There's no bar! I assumed "studs" had to do with mounts or something.

That's just a picture of the pad showing the difference between studded and not studded, not the whole sissy bar assembly.

Hey, that's not a bad deal. Do you need any additional hardware or brackets when you get one ? How do they attach ? And, is this just the sissy bar, or is the "rack" included (I'm thinking just sissy bar) ?

I'd like to get the combination sissy bar and rack, but like others have said, it's like $300.

You just get the sissybar and the hardware to mount it. No rack, but for the price you can't beat it. You can also get their Rear Fender Mini Rack (Suzuki GZ250 99-08) directly from them, for 95.00. All total still way less than buying from somewhere else. http://mcenterprises.com/products/image ... %20Lrg.jpg (http://mcenterprises.com/products/images/large/GZ250%2004%20121-25%20Lrg.jpg)

FYI, I just got off the phone with MC Enterprises, and the guy told me that the Sissy Bar is "in production" and wouldn't be available for 5-6 weeks. Said call back in a month.

I did find this one though, http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/pages/ca ... -rack.aspx (http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/pages/catalogs/detail/35/343/742/15543/1/0/0/0/0/0/0/0/sissy-bar-with-rack.aspx)
