Installed my new rear tire.

Shinko 712 140 90 15 replacing a Barracuda of the same size.
So far 25 miles and it feels the same on dry except of course fresh tires like to turn
in easier due to their still rounded contact patch.

Also quieter. Not that I cared.

Pinched and f'd a new tube during install... Second try is the charm.

Wet performance soon.

Longevity in 6 to 8 months.

Got a Shinko front picked out. Order prolly in 2 months.

New rear brake shoes in after the complete shattering of those d2moto store's shoes.
These Caltric were some good looking replacements shoes.
Reinforced and everything with bevels on leading edges of friction material.

Way better than those Volar Motorsport Inc D2Moto pads that grenaded on me and
damaged my bike.

Stupid speedo cable broke on me. Using tach to determine speed.

Any suggestions for a new speedo cable???

BikeBandit.com has the OEM cable for about $27.00.

That's roughly what mine cost, five years ago, at local bike shop. (converting euros to dollars)

Be careful when you do the front tire R/R. The speedo drive in the front hub is easy to damage if installed the wrong way if you want to check/lube it's parts. Also a good time for new wheel bearings if they feel rough.
