Give me a brake

So im gstting into tuning the rest of tue bike... gonna do some painting and opm stuff... the front brake is VERY hard to pull. The front wheel doesnt spin unless you REALLY apply some pressure. Is the caliper siezed?? I changed the fluid and bleed it down and no avail. The pads look like there is still LOTS of life on them. Any thoughts?

Ok, if I understand what you are getting at here..... the front wheel does NOT spin freely and requires a fair bit of pressure to spin it. Yes?

That DEFINITELY sounds like something brake or bearing related.

Other than that, I have no idea what to tell you.
Good luck.

Lol, thanks. And yea, it doesnt feel bearing related, it feels as though the front brake is grabbing. And like i said, the lever feels hard to pull

I wonder if the brake piston is seizing up?

I had that recently happen to my mountain bike brake. Not sure if it's cross applicable, but I ended up having to buy a new caliper.

I got some advice on another forum.. it was recommended to remove it and attempt to push the pistons and try and spray some blaster in yhere to loosen things up. I will tear into it this afternoon and post my results

A C-clamp will push the piston in easily. Just don't pop the piston out accidently.
Wrap a cloth around the brake lever as a reminder not to pull the lever in.
