Can't resist telling this joke
 

I've just started reading a book by Mo Hayder. Pig Island. It's a supernatural thriller about a cult called The Psychogenic Healing Ministries, living on Pig Island, and it reminded me of a joke I heard, years ago.

At the meeting, the faith healer strode onto the stage. "ladies and gentlemen" he said "I have, within me, the power to heal all ailments. Is there anyone in the audience who wishes to be healed? If so come up here, now!"
Two men got up and walked onto the stage.
"What are your names?"
"I'm mithter Jones"..."and I'm mister Smith"
"and what is wrong with you?"
"Well" said mister Jones "I've got thith thpeach impediment. I can't pronounth my words, and it's very embarathing"
"and I" said Mr Smith "have a problem with my legs. As you can see, I have to use crutches to walk. My legs have been week since childhood, and I'd love to be able to walk properly"
"Then I shall cure you" replied the healer.
He placed his palms on the men's foreheads, and appeared to go into a deep trance. A few minutes later he came round.
"Mister Smith, throw away your crutches!"
and the crutches went hurtling across the stage.
"Mister Jones, speak to me!"
"Mithter Thmith's fallen over"
