Hey ya'll!!!

Ever since I was a young girl, I've loved motorcycles. I guess I get it honest cause my Dad use to have one when he was young. I've never really rode one, not even as a passenger, until my husband bought one. He's been riding for about 13 years now and I've finally gotten up the courage ( and the money! LOL) to be able to have one myself. He's gonna help me learn to ride and we are talking about taking the Learner's Course together, too. He's as excited as I am cause now he'll have a partner to ride with. We're supposed to go tomorrow and get my bike. Hopefully, the place still has it. We'll see. I'm a little nervous about learning , but I'm excited ,too. Anyways, I'll let ya'll know how it turns out.

Sounds great. You'll love the GZ, its an excellent starter bike to learn on. I wouldnt have traded it for any other to learn with. Welcome to the forum and if you have any questions, ask away!!

Make sure to download the service manual and owners manual in "General" forum if you need them.

Taking the MSF course is a great idea. You'll learn a lot and you will get to scratch up someone else's bike.
Some suggested reading:

"Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Guide to Motorcycling Excellence"
http://tinyurl.com/hm7wd
Expanded version of the book you get in the MSF class for getting a head start.

"Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well "
http://tinyurl.com/hxbr4
:2tup:
I highly recommend this book. I learned something on almost every page.

"More Proficient Motorcycling: Mastering the Ride"
http://tinyurl.com/ndtn3
:2tup:
Also highly recommended.

You will enjoy the MSF course. Your husband will have a good time too and maybe even learn a few good tips in the process. It is the best money you will spend for your ride. It will be nice to have a partner to ride with that you have confidence in and that you know will be safe and watch out for you as well. Good luck with your class, relax and have fun.

Cheers!
