19. Are all of the original required reflectors still installed on the bike noting the ones near the horn at the steering stem and the two on the lower sides of the chrome covers on the rear fender.

20. Does bike shut off when it is in gear and you put down the kickstand.

21. Do all of the lights function correctly as well as the indicators for neutral and turn signals. (i.e. are there any bulbs out) That might just be a bulb but could be some bad wiring....

22. Does the horn work.

Great idea ! hope these help!

My brain hurts now but I thought of something. Check for broken/loose spokes. Excellant list by the way.

Thanks to both Jvacustoms and Water Warrior. All items added. Feel free to add more.

I just had to do it, normally I wouldn't, but I am in this kinda mood today

About the spoke thing. Had a brain flash about the time I found 3 broken spokes on Lynda's GZ and I just progressed from there.

#2 add something about if the bike has been dropped or in an accident? Not sure how to check for that other than things obviously ground away or parts broken or falling off.

Tell ya what, you give me 5 dollars if I can ask you a question about the GZ250 that you can't answer and if you can ask me question about the GZ250 that I can't answer, I'll take 500 dollars from you....[/quote:3963hpck]

Cables - do throttle, clutch & choke operate smoothly, any signs of stuck/rusty/frayed cables ?

(maybe add this to "handlebars" where you already mention the smooth operation of throttle and clutch)
