What is this carb?

The carb on my 2006 GZ250 is a Mikuni 13F3L582. Is this still just a normal carburetor for this bike?

I don't see that carb listed on any parts sites, including Mikuni. Are you looking for a replacement or parts for it?

Check Partzilla if you need a replacement. Good luck with your project.

Thanks for the reply. I had the same results on my searches also, except I did find a seller on Ebay selling a carburetor off a 2001 model Marauder with the same Mikuni 13F3Lxxx carb.
I think the last 3 numbers (after the L) may be a serial number or date code????
But I did a rebuild using a kit for the regular carb and all jets and diaphragms sizes matched up correctly.

UPDATE of maybe useful info???

OK I did more research and may have found the correct answer. It was simply a replacement carburetor that Mikuni made for the original stock carb BSR32SS. This makes sense since all the parts are the same, but why the different model number doesn't make any sense to me. But, if you run into a GZ250 with the Mikuni 13F3l carb, and you need to do a rebuild just use the rebuild kits for the stock BSR32SS and you should be ok.

Glad you got it figured out. Safe riding. Remember ATGATT.

Also, welcome to the forum. It has really slowed down around here, but not surprising considering the GZ has been out of production for around 13/14 years.

I think I may be correct or maybe it is a counterfeit? Either way it is going back on the bike!

I too have noticed that traffic is slow here, which is weird since the GZ250 still seems to be popular bike. There is a world of information on this forum, and I am making use of it.
