Hello, my name is Cathy and I am a new owner of a GZ250. I don't have my license yet but I'll be taking a Motorcycle safety course in the Spring, best I can do is cruise up and down the block in first gear. :tongue:

This is my bike, his name is Sir Jefferz. I picked him up for $1800

2006 - Stock - 11,000kms

Sir Jefferz was in love with a CBR600RR named Rebecca, and was rejected for his Rebel* (Teehee) brother, Chad. Now Sir Jefferz lives with me and his brother with their pack of Sportbike bros and live happily ever after. Though his love for Rebecca will always be eternal. Poor Sir Jefferz.

Never have. I was more of a solo rider when I still had my bike. Lynda(SO) and I did ride together quite a bit but she gave it up before I did. I am more or less in the market for another bike but haven't found one yet.
Before I forget. Do yourself a gigantic favor and pick up a copy of Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough. Read it cover to cover. Also take a riding course as soon as you can. Both will provide you with skills that most people never attain in 40 years of riding. Don't ask me how I know. :whistle: :whistle:

So far I have watched Twist of the wrist and have two motorcycling books, thanks for the advise and I am super excited for my classes in the spring.

What bike are you looking for now ?

Welcome home, Cathy. Sorry you had to be introduced to the site during an awkward little spam/transition period. You can just look at yourself as part of the new guard. This is like a rebirth and you're one of the first babies out of the cyber womb.

Wow Jon. You have a way with words that makes everything feel warm and fuzzy but in a "I'm cuddling with a 60 yr old hairy inmate named Susie" kind of way.

For you Jon I'll clarify...that's supposed to be a creepy feeling.

On separate note, I've never been a fan of crash bars but they look pretty darn good on this bike. Good job Cathy.

Well that's unfortunate, Gooser. When I first read that, I felt like I was being complimented... You know, that feeling when a heaving burly stranger starts scratching your back in the vegetable section at the local grocer and continues to follow you around the store with a shopping cart full of nothing while jamming his sausagey hairy hands deep into his pockets to continuously search for "something"? It was a special kind of feeling, and you squashed that. :(
