Accelerating- something slipping or rough rider

Hello folks,
Noticed that I get a lot of noise and vibration at times when I "over" accelerate in lower gears which, as a newbie, could be more often than I plan. I wonder if my clutch is slipping or chain doing something. Question: when goosed, will the GZ250 do a wheelie?

My intent after mc school has been to get smooth in shifting and take off, etc. but the learning process has had its spikes... with 1000+ miles I now am confident in the shifting, acceleration and braking. Now turning corners in traffic is the last bastion for me. Have wondered about the "slippage" though.

3,800 miles on a 2007 bike using Rotella T oil. The clutch release was adjusted for "travel" by a mechanic when I first got the bike at 2,480 miles and I changed the oil then too. Clutch engages at about the last inch of release travel and have had no problems with using the gears or anything.

I'm just not sure if this is normal, if I'm horsing the bike too much or should I have the clutch checked for slippage. The chain is definitely on the "loose side" but I don't know if this would cause "slippage".
Thanks and I'm looking forward to spring.

Adjust chain. I don't think it is slipping, it just has to take up the slack.
Roll on then roll off the throttle and the extra slack plays hell with smoothness.
