Brakes - Front and Rear
 

I am having a hard time finding what brakes (front and rear) will fit on my 99 gz. I have searched Dennis Kirk for the part number BadBob posted on here, but couldnt find it.

In particular I am looking for SBS pads and shoes, to stop the squealing.

When I do search Dennis Kirk for my bike, it comes up with Vesrah brakes.

But I would really like to find SBS for both front and rear, HELP please!

Have you tried putting the part number in a google search along with SBS ? as in SBS 434-21FJ into google? Thats usually how i find things by part numbers (who sells them).

While we're on the topic of brakes. I've been looking into installing a Stainless Steel Brake Line up front. The rear line isn't hydraulic, so we can only upgrade one system. Anyway, If you're interested, you'll need between 36-38 inches of stainelss steel line, one 45 degree elbow and one straight elbow. Since you're doing some brake work anyway, it might be good time to get it done. I plan on covering this in the how to section one day. However, between my MG and my little boy, who knows when I'll get to it, so I'm not making any promises.

That link worked fine. I just ordered the ceramic pads.
Once they get here, I'll get a chance to maybe make a how-to on installing stainless lines and brake pads.

I just put new SBS pads on both our GZ250s. Both of them squeal. The packaging changed so maybe the the pads are different.

What kind of squeal? everything adjusted properly?

Loud, what adjustment? Its a disk brake.

I'm not asking for help. I just pointing out that there is no guarantee that buying SBS ceramic brakes will stop the squeal. I've installed six sets of these pads. The last ones squeal one set very loud. The rest of them did not squeal.

Well, in my experience the only reason for a squeal is because something is worn out, either the pad or the disk.
