Who's still riding?

Usually this time of year I have been done riding for a month or more-this year it's been unseasonably warm-I have been commuting to work on the GZ-supposed to be in the 50's all week-Merry Christmas!!

I ride all year long in Las Vegas. It gets a little nippy in the mornings but not bad after years of riding up in Idaho. Hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday season and the year going forward. 2009 GZ.

Same here in Southern Spain. I love it. That said, when I was younger, in the UK, I did my fair share of riding to work in rain, snow, ice and fog, on shifts. You can't beat a January/February 5am half hour ride in thick freezing fog on an MZ 125, arriving at work numb from the neck down. Happy days! (not).

When I started riding, in England, in the early 1960s, rear engine buses were just coming into use, with the radiator at the side. Riding at the side of the radiator for a minute or two gave a blast of warm air that put a bit of warmth back into my body. Not exactly a safe thing to do, but it felt great to defrost a frozen body.

Your guardian angel must have been riding with you.

I ride down to about 38F nowadays... Used to be when I was younger I'd go below freezing.

Back in the 70's I rode most of one winter in the Great White North. 20 below F was actually warmer than usual. The bike(1975 Suzuki RV 125)sat outside all night while I was at work. It always started every morning.
Not my choice of ride but better than the bus(cheaper and faster). My van had a rotted out radiator and money was really tight.
I have some spine chilling memories to say the least but I never had a mishap. Thanks to my Guardian Angel.
