Congratulations. The C-50 is a wonderful ride. Not super heavy but big enough to ride anywhere in comfort. I test rode one a while back and almost bought one. You will like the power delivery of the V-twin and the no nonsense fuel injection.
We will definitely want a riding impression report after you have a few hours in the saddle. hint hint.

Nice ride. But the needed advice is -- take it easy 'till you get used to the increased power and weight, etc, etc. And hang around here but also check out http://www.motorcycleforums.net/forum/ and go to the Suzuki section for more specific advice for your bike.

Don't worry I'll be taking it easy for a while..It seems like a monster compared to the GZ.
And I will check out that web site.. Thanks

The bike is bigger and heavier. If you don't mind a word of advice and concern. You will likely drop it eventually. Lynda had some real nice crash bars on her M-50. They will also fit your C-50. Check out MC Enterprises.

Re: Moving up...New toy

Congrats on a new bike! All written above is true; much heavier, watch out for the drops of bike, especially when starting driving from a stop, right corner and uphill (to much throttle and a bit to quick clutch release)... Get being familiar with clutch, throttle and weight. When you drive you don't notice the weight, it's the small leans on stops that might fool you... I almost dropped mine, it's way heavier than GZ and starting to train martial arts in the fall really got me more alerted and strong...

Moved up to a Bonne Black, more power, fuel injection, 52 MPG, 100 pounds heavier, love it, but still enjoy the lightness of my GZ on goat roads, plus the 75 MPG. Glad I keep both bikes, for different riding conditions,. They are both different bikes for different roads, enjoy your new toy, hope you kept your old toy!

Thanks Water Warrior..I have been looking into crash bars. Some people tell me that some will be in the way of the oil filter when changing oil. Did you incounter that problem? If not what make were your crash bars?
