I assume you mean a fuel level sensor.....in the gas tank.

I recommend you forget it.
A difficult and DANGEROUS undertaking.

I think the only practical way to do it would be to find a whole tank from a different kind of bike that already has a fuel level float in it.

Yeah, I agree.

It's really not worth the trouble. You should know how many miles to expect before she gets close to empty.

And, besides, that's what the reserve is for.

ok.. so i forget about it ...
another question ... i have problem starting my bike sometimes even if the engine is still hot...

Here we have the GZ125 with fuel level sensor since 2008 model. It's fuel injected too...

The 125 is fuel injected???

No way.

Why would they do that?
That's an awful lot of technology for a tiny motor.

You're going to have to give us more info than that. What are the symptoms?

itamarmo 01-16-2008 10:32 AM

ok i'll try...
let's say i shut off the engine and come to turn it on after 10 min and it's not start
there is the sound of the starter but the engine dont start.. like when it's cold...

Being a '99, your spark plug may need to be replaced. If the engine turns over and you're not getting any spark I would start there and then work backwards into the firing system. It's most likely a simple problem like that, since you didn't mention any problems while riding

Also, check your plug wire for white dusty circles. That's a good indicator that it has reached the end of its life.

Notice the fuel level indicator replacing the turn signals one, and the new "FI" (Fuel Injection) indicator in the speedometer:

Injection is now used in the 125cc version, to acomplish Euro-III exhaust emissions specs and to reduce fuel consumption. Actually, it's injected since the 2007 model.
You can see the injector in this picture.

The GZ250 is still carbureted.
