Any recommendations for a more breathable jacket?

My current jacket is a Power Trip Ronin Denim jacket. Despite the review on motorcyclegear, to me, it's more of a cold weather jacket. Link to it is here:

I'm looking for something that breathes more and provides better airflow. I drive in traffic quite a bit (which, I know, flow will be limited anyway), but sitting in this heavy jacket with the sun beating down on you in a full face helmet gets to be borderline unbearable some days. MN is filled with heat and humidity right now.

Not sure if I'm lookin' for a Textile jacket. or a Mesh jacket. (not sure I even know the difference between the two much). But I definitely want armor (that much I know). But just wondering what others use and thoughts on a good, safe and breathable jacket to beat the heat!

Thanks in advance! :)

I use a mesh jacket almost year around.
It does have a rain liner and I do have a heated jacket, also.

A mesh jacket is what you need. They normally have decent armor in the elbows and shoulders. Pony up for a real good replacement back armor pad.
My fav jacket is a textile by Joe Rocket and my mesh is Joe Rocket too. All I ever did was just transfer the optional armored back pad($81 worth) back and forth as needed. Oddly enough the textile jacket is much lighter in weight than the mesh.

I occasionally wear an evaporative cooling vest under my textile mesh jacket if I want to go out on a really hot day, and that works pretty well, at least for 15-20 min.
