A Lovely Day for a Ride.
Lynda and I had a great ride today in just about perfect temps and traffic conditions. Rode North from Squamish up to Pemberton and then Westerly to a small community of D'Arcy where the road ends. Got to see a black bears on the side of the road munching his veggies and basically ignored us. Deer, those stupid critters have a death wish. A Stebel horn makes them move to a quieter part of the country. I may be in their back yard but a safe passage is required.
Now where did I put those pics ?? |

Re: A Lovely Day for a Ride.
Thank you. I tend to call it my backyard. Fine riding and fine weather with a longer riding season than most of the GWN. Life is good for this old retired guy.

Re: A Lovely Day for a Ride.
My winters are actually quite nice. Not much snow where I live in Squamish but a short drive will put me in a snowy area very quickly. Oddly enough the skiers are delighted with a good snow base in the Vancouver area right now. Living near sea level the snow usually turns to rain in the lower areas so there are a few folks who ride all winter in Squamish.
My friend Don rides all year long with either a BMW HP2 or a Ural 2 wheel drive sidecar rig. |
