Clutch cable goes....

***POP*** right in the middle of a downshift while riding the other night. :cuss: I was about two miles from home and stuck in second. :crutches: Well, having shifted clutchlessly in my car for...

Re: GZ Drivers Seat Shape and Pain

Definitely excercise can help. Believe it or not, one of the best things you can do for your lower back is to work on your abs.

Re: Brakes Help

I just ordered a set today from O'Reilly's. Got sick of the squeaking too.

Re: Top speed for GZ250

I do have one for this bike. However, it was my intent to learn and get comfortable on the bike first without the windshield. Once I've got the skills learned for riding and countering the wind,...

Re: Thread Header

Something squirrelly with your graphics card maybe? Mine all look razor-sharp. Strange.

Re: Top speed for GZ250

Yeesh. Screw that! If I wanted a crotch rocket, I'd buy one. I get weirded out enough just shifting my butt at speed. Much less trying to lay down on the bike!...

Re: Milestones

As far as boots go, I've just been wearing my steel-toed work boots. Oil and slip resistant sole. But they tend to be VERY dirty because of work. I might buy another pair of 'em just for riding,...

Re: Deer me that was close

:haha2: Funny you should say that. Whenever I recount the story I always say the deer committed suicide on my driver's mirror.

**EDIT** Woo hoo! I'm bona-fide now! Post 25 baby.

Re: Luggage Rack

I feel you. I was dubbed "The Spelling Nazi" on another board I frequent. I had to force myself to stop correcting others, as it was ultimately an exercise in futility. However, it did net me...

Re: Clock for the GZ

They've got some pretty cool stuff there. A bit pricey for a clock, but it looks stock. Sweet.

Re: Deer me that was close

Stupid deer. Nature sucks sometime. I have hit one deer in my car. Killed her, and the car got off with much less damage than could have happened at highway speeds. Luckily I saw her and had...

Re: Spark plug and oil filter

O-rings are cheap. In my line of work, multi-million dollar oil wells can be junked due to a 25 cent o-ring failure. It just doesn't make sense not to change them when they're so cheap. It only...

Re: Exhaust - Complete system for the GZ50

It just boggles my mind how some things for bikes can be so stinkin' expensive! For crying out loud, I could put on a full custom dual exhaust with headers on my SVT Contour for less than that. And...

I realize this might be bringing back a post from the dead, but Jesus H. Christ! The price on this thing is now $1,140!!!!!!!

Re: A pre-ride Ride Report

Hm. Doesn't look like I'll be able to make that. I'm still 150 miles offshore, and won't be back for a few days yet. Enjoy the ride!

Re: A pre-ride Ride Report

When do you anticipate being in Baton Rouge? It's not too far from where I work. Maybe 90 miles. Let me know, and I might be able to ride up and meet you.

My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping channels. She asked, 'What's on TV?'

I said, 'Dust.'

And then the fight started… ...

Re: Saw my first GZ250 on the road...

Our Suzuki dealer doesn't even have any C50s in stock, much less a GZ. Smallest cruiser they've got in stock is a C90. And they definitley DO try and steer you to the larger bikes. Schmucks.

Re: 2006 GZ250 resale value?

How in the world does that much go wrong with a bike in that short a time??? Hell, I'd give you a grand for it.

Re: Saw my first GZ250 on the road...

My MSF class used mostly GZs. They had a couple of Eliminators and only one Rebel. I have yet to see another one on the road in Houma, but one of my bike riding co-workers said he used to have the...
