yeah thats the easiers way to do it. after i let the bike drain on its kickstand ill tip it over the other way just so i can get every bit of old oil out.

you dont need a jack to change the oil.

talking about your oil drain plug? from what it looks like the entire area around it is removeable and thus replaceable so im sure if you had to you could have replaced the area. dont over torque....
