Apparently, it's not a vacuum line. It's a bleeder line for the carb bowl. And just routes down the frame. See what happens when you let somone else work on your bike?

Started fine, now it won't

Wife jumped on the GZ to ride to work yesterday. She got as far as the corner Walgreens. She stopped there to run in for an energy drink. When she came out, the bike wouldn't start. Tried choking...

I checked bike bandit and couldn't find the cable. Is there a cable from another bike that fits it? It was actually busted so I cut it and got the bike to start.

Windscreens are nice if you plan on riding a lot on asphalt and are short enough that they stop the wind. I am too tall for any of the KLR windscreens to be of help so I typically remove mine...
