The site is http://www.yssusa.com/index.html

Re: Rear Shock Replacement ...

Yes, I had it all the way up to five.
I have just recently installed a set of YSS shocks and it rides much better (better than better). This was an easy install and a good investment. Next up ......

Re: What about a standard harley muffler??

Most people can't tell right off that mine was changed over to a sportier exhaust. With the filter mod, needle shim, larger jet mod and 16 tooth sprocket, it's a fun ride for a 250. Make the change,...

Re: Quick air filter question

FYI. You don't need to remove the tank, just rotate the carb.

Rear Shock Replacement ...

I'm looking for replacement shocks that are capable of holding two people and not bottoming out. Lots of shock out there but nothing that is specific to the GZ. Anyone ever replace them with...

Re: My little bike 2004

Czesc orzeszek303!

The backrest looks like a GZ rear seat. Is it?

Re: Has anyone tried a 40 tooth rear sprocket?

Speed wise ... I agree, on the x-way Raven gets to 80 and is a little light in the rear at that speed. 70 is fast enough for me when I need to use the x-way. Which is not a lot.
So, when are you...

Re: New exhaust really helped my mpg's and I like the sound too!

[/quote]

Mine has a nice medium rumble. I'm glad I replaced the stock exhaust. If someone is considering it, I say do it.

Re: Has anyone tried a 40 tooth rear sprocket?

Yes you are right that is a horrible comparison, if you have something with plenty of grunt to spare, then doing that could dramatically raise the ridability of your bike at higher speeds, (and raise...

Re: Has anyone tried a 40 tooth rear sprocket?

In theory, the lower rear sprocket (40T) with a 16T front sprocket should work well as predicted.
My Yamaha 650 (I know, bad comparison) comes with a stock 17T/ 34T sprockets. Many owners are going...

Re: My 2006 GZ mods ...

It would be sweet, but it might cut into their 650cc sales. However, it is time to upgrade this motor. 400cc or 450cc might sell well if they kept the same GZ style. Actually I know it would sell...

Re: Big bike handling vs. GZ handling

No, apparently not.
In this context, it is running wide in a curve.
I think everybody ELSE understands that.
Next you will be telling us that you ride like the guy in the video.

Big bike handling vs. GZ handling

I have now completed most of the work in getting my Yamaha XS650 up and running. A totally different bike for sure.

As a lot of us go to a bigger bike we need to rethink on how we drive these...

Re: 2000 Suzuki Katana 600

I agree with everyone else, be careful, drive using the 12 second rule. My XS650 is scary fast and I make a point to drive it like it's my GZ. Enjoy! :ride:

Re: What have you owned, or what do you own?

Besides my GZ, I have a 1980 Yamaha XS 650 Special. It is almost ready to go back on the rode, mid June I'd say. Lot's of work bringing it back to life. I'm only allowed two at this time.

Re: Right Saddlebags for a GZ250 1999

I made an intensive search online and then visited bike shops looking for the perfect saddlebags.
Don't make a hasty decision. Some shops will have samples that they will let you place on the bike...

Re: Installing Saddlebags

Try to get that rear off the ground by jacking it up. It gave me a little more extra room for my fingers.
