Re: Ran Over a Screw

Yeah, I took the old nut off the old tube and used that on the outside of the rim. I asked a friend of mine who rides what he thought, and he also said the plug was meant for a bike with a bigger...

Re: Ran Over a Screw

Sorry! Been meaning to post for AGES, just been so busy with work and all.

Well, it took me a month and a half or so (yikes), but I managed to change my rear tire. Been riding to and from work,...

On the new tube,...

Re: Ran Over a Screw

Awesome! Thanks! All good advice. I definitely don't want to go through all this trouble just to tear up the inner tube and have to start all over again.

Just to be clear, you think the...

Re: Ran Over a Screw

Aaand, in all of that I forgot to actually answer your question! The front tire is much newer (though still came with the bike when I bought it.). Looks like it has plenty of life left in it, nice...

Re: Ran Over a Screw

SO! As I said I would do about a month ago ( ), I'm finally getting around to posting those pictures.

Now I have another problem. At the last minute I decided to replace the inner tube...

Ran Over a Screw

And it sucks. Luckily it didn't go flat, it went in at kind of a weird angle: sideways inside a groove in the tread. I noticed it later at home, when I was looking over my tires. I'll try to take a...

Re: How many of people are still riding this winter?

As a beginner, I need all the practice I can get, so I try not to let the weather stop me. Even if I just get out there for a quick 20 min. ride down the road, every little bit helps.

That being...

Re: I need to learn how to wave!

Just got my first wave as well!
I honestly didn't expect him to wave as he passed, I was just having my own private "I'm passing my first motorcycle!" moment when I saw him stick out his arm.
I...

Re: Dropped bike, now it won't start/How do I charge battery

Thanks! I do plan to learn as much as I can about my bike, I guess I'm just nervous! I really really really don't want to break anything, but I know that, as mrlmd1 said, if I keep worrying so much,...

Re: Dropped bike, now it won't start/How do I charge battery

Well, I went out this morning and it looks like my bike is starting again!

I left it to charge overnight and installed the harness this morning (I lead it into the plastic box under the seat as...

Re: Dropped bike, now it won't start/How do I charge battery

Thanks again to all the replies! I've finally plucked up the nerve to hook it up, and the red light came on my charger, so I guess tomorrow morning we'll see if it all worked out!

@Water Warrior...

Re: Dropped bike, now it won't start/How do I charge battery

Thank you all for your quick responses (and the warm welcome :) )!

I guess I'll try charging it in the bike, then. I've looked over the instructions, and I just have one more question before I go...

Dropped bike, now it won't start/How do I charge battery?

As much as I hate to be so rude as to immediately come asking a whole bunch of annoying questions before I've even introduced myself on the forum, I need help.

I'm a new rider, and to be honest,...
