Re: Duct tape chopper

He was making "on the fly" repairs just trying to get it home from the custom shop where he bought it. Why doesn't "the man" just give him a break. All those extra parts like brakes and fenders and...

Re: Frost Danger?

I know ice is a no-no, although I have joked that I wish I could afford to get some studded snow tires for the winter! I'm just talking about the frost crystals. I've never even seen frost actually...

Re: Winter gear on the cheap (poor college student)

Frost Danger?

Does anyone have any experience and/or thoughts on the dangers of frost? In a car it is a non-issue. It seems to be less of a danger than rain, and I don't mind riding in the rain. I've never...

Re: Saw my first GZ250 on the road...

I don't think dealers order many in some parts of the country for the obvious reasons. Even if they have one in stock (new or used) they try their hardest to steer you toward something with a better...

Congrats. Have fun during the next 1000. The fact that you did a 300 mile round trip is even more impressive!

Re: Passed the 2000 mile mark on the GZ today!

Hats off to you. I love my GZ, but I don't know if I could do two hours at 70-75. My poor bike doesn't like to get out of the mid 60's if there is any kind of headwind. Wind seems to make a bigger...

Re: Passed the 1K mark today!

Thanks to everyone for the support. I love this bike. It is so forgiving. I've had a few "Oh, s***" moments and the thing just stays upright and keeps going. I'm sad it looks like it will be down...

Re: Passed the 1K mark today!

If you see GZ in the area, it just might be me. I've never seen another one. I drive the ultra rare, special edition black model. ;)

I live and work a little north of there, but who knows?

Passed the 1K mark today!

I'm sure no one cares, but I had to tell someone. I passed 1K miles running some errands today. Over ninety percent of my riding has been to work or running errands, so that's a lot of gas saved...

Re: "Bikers" vs. people who just own bikes

I think a lot of us with 250cc bikes bought them to actually use as transportation as opposed to just taking leisurely drives on Sunday afternoons for three months out of the year (not that there's...

My sanity they can question (and many often do).

I haven't had the privilege of riding in the rain, yet. I plan to, I just can't get my work clothes sopping wet and I'm not sure even if I got...

Replace the hat with a reflective helmet of the same color, and I'll be ready to go. Think this would help with the problem of not being seen by the cagers?

To stay on topic, what kind of wave...

Re: I've had it!!

You described 99.9 percent of the motorcycle riders I've seen, except for the chin strap part. The thing I'm tired of seeing is 50 or 100cc-ers that are riding, sometimes in groups, in 50mph four...

I haven't topped out yet. I hit 70+ (indicated) on slight incline and had to back off because of traffic. Still had a little left, for sure. I'm stupid enough to go that fast, but not stupid...
