alantf: Thanks alantf. I turned my idle half-a-circle clockwise and it improved the situation somewhat. I'm going to try the carburetor gas tank fluid when I get a chance to stop by Kragen's....

I suspect it may be the idle speed. Because sometimes when I coast with clutch and don't use the throttle the engine has turned off. Hopefully, I don't need to pay a mechanic to check to make sure...

NOT the battery anymore

I put in a new battery. The voltage for the new battery was over 12.9V. The turning over sounded consistent but the bike could not fire up.

I was using the choke. There was gas in the fuel tank....
