The slipstreamer by spitfire works fine, although it's small. It's cheap and gets the job done, gets the wind off your chest, but wind will still bounce your head around if you're under 5'7".

Good call Badbob, that could be whats up with mine, as the sound is really only noticable in 4-5th gear and ONLY when I apply throttle. If I let off the throttle or disengage the clutch, no sound....

Chances are I just didn't notice it before, but since I modded the bike I became more aware of the sounds it was making. I dunno, I'll have one somone who rides motorcycles check it out to be sure....

Yep the speedometer cable leads right to the front wheel hub area, the sprockets and gears wouldn't have anything to do with speedo/odo readings.

Is it ok to be in 4th gear travelling around 25-30mph? Note, I have the 16 tooth front sprocket, although it doesn't make that drastic of a difference in engine speed.

It could be that you didn't align your rear...

It could be that you didn't align your rear axle/chain tensioner bolts correctly, so the rear wheel is uneven with the front, possibly causing shake. This would be my best guess. The chain tension...

I could do that, but the gauges don't work on either bike tires..... I don't see how they could fail.... I'll check out wal-mart tonight and buy two cores with the tool.

Download the service manual, it'll have virtually everything in there.
