Hi,

I took the head to a machine shop to do a valve job and they also honed the cylinder walls. I put new valves in, and reassembled the engine, which ran great for about 400 miles. My daughter...

Re: Cylinder Head Question

You need to remove one of the circlips, then tap the piston pin out with a wooden dowel pin. Make sure you put a towel over the crankcase to prevent the circlip from falling into the crankcase.

Re: How To Check Piston Rings

I am referring to the head gasket, but the gasket between the cylinder and the crank case. It is black and paper thin.

Hi,

I bought a 2001 GZ250 with about 10,000 miles from a guy for $600, took it home, and changed the oil and replaced the chain, which was kinked. The bike ran pretty good for about 500 miles...
