Exhaust gasket

I am an idiot I replaced the exhaust gaskets on my bike and now this bolt (picture) is coming up short and I can't put the bolt in any idea what I did wrong?

I'm not sure where you can get most of the things you need to maintain these bikes any body know wth to do? I need to change the gasket? seal? on my valve cover as well do this...

Just to see how long the oil last I know some fuel is getting in the oil but how much would be nice to know. Also if there's problems that can be detected in the engine. The farther I drive this bike...

What it says on the tin. I just checked it so see if it was dirty it's was cleans as a whistle but smelled like gas is this a major or minor trouble?

I ask because I got a pair (don't even remember the name) the lasted a whopping 800 or so miles before I had to change em. I live in Austin, TX which I don't think is hilly.

This is going to sound pretty dumb but how do you clean a motorcycle. It's starting to look dirty but I don't want to mess anything up do I hose it or go in with water and rags.

Well I'm going to head out in a bit and thought I'd look at Rotella. If I get Rotella will it last longer in between changes? And the correct types is Shell Rotella T 15W-40 yes?
