Re: Log your rides

Went on my first extended trip (2 up) with the GZ back in September. We loaded both saddle bags and the sissybar bag and even though we were trying to pack light, we still had to bungee a duffel bag...

Re: Carb Getting Dirty?

I've been riding quite a bit since the dealership worked on it and it seems to be running normally again. On a warm day I can get it to start and idle without the choke but riding requires a little...

Re: chain lube frequency

I use the Bel-Ray Super Clean Chain Lube. I used to lube the chain by myself but it was a lot of work to spray the chain, get on the bike, move it, spray the chain, get back on the bike, move it,...

Re: Carb Getting Dirty?

I took in the shop for it's 10,000 mile service and they told me they had it running better a lot better but the carb will probably have to be rebuilt by the time the next service is due. Is it...

Re: I need to learn how to wave!

Re: You may laugh, but bear with me....

Oops. I misunderstood. I thought the OP was asking if the speedo was backlit and he had to use the indicator for the high beam to see it. I blame it on the heat :)

Re: You may laugh, but bear with me....

Just curious as to whether anyone has a handlebar or windshield bag mounted to their bike. I've already added a sissybar bag to the already present saddlebags and fork bag and still looking for just...

Re: Carb Getting Dirty?

[/quote] I've always been afraid to run it through too many fill ups for fear of the bike eventually running on carb cleaner only

Carb Getting Dirty?

When I come to a dead stop, the engine stays at an elevated rpm and after several seconds it finally settles down to a normal idle. Also used to get it to start without the choke in 90+ plus...

Re: My Black 2009 GZ250

I've been checking the right hand one on a regular basis and so far it hasn't even gotten warm, even after I've shut the bike off after a long ride. I appreciate you bringing that to my attention...

Re: My Black 2009 GZ250

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye on the front fender and if I start to see any signs of wear, I'll check into getting one that has a little more clearance. My weight is 130 and I've had it...
