How to clean kill switch?

Sometimes the bike will turn over but not start until I flip the kill switch on and off a couple of times. I think I probably need to clean the switch but cannot figure out how to disassemble....

The "kill switch" on my 2010 GZ250 needs cleaning and I don't see how to remove it. The manual doesn't have any detail on this part of the bike.
I believe this is a common problem with this model...
