Re: Back on two wheels for a nice ride today

I know the feelings. Didn't have a bike for about 20 years, and bought one after my wife died. Yep, I know the feelings and you described them well.

Re: Thinking of buying a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit 750cc

It is a great, dependable, boring bike. Sounds like the PO did his maintenance top quality. I would have to wonder about trying to soup up a 750 Shadow, but to each his own.

Re: Exhaust system for sale

This system is still available. How about $20 plus shipping? It is a big box, 43x16x5 inches. For someone wanting to install their own muffler, I can saw it off and that will reduce shipping costs...

Exhaust system for sale

The kid I bought my GZ from had chiseled the guts out of the muffler by cutting the end plate. I hated the sound and was lucky enough to find a system on this forum. If anyone needs the gutless...

drop in gas mileage

My trip out to the farm and riding around in the fields and woods for quite a while dropped the mileage on the 3rd tank to 61.73. My 3 tank average is 83.14 mpg. I'm thinking with colder weather...

Re: Need a little more torque

Well, I settled the "more torque" thing. I was going to look at a Suzuki Intruder 800 Saturday, and the friend at the HD dealer called Friday and talked me into making the 1 1/2 hour trip to look at...

Re: Thinking about life after GZ..already..

Looks like the mid sized tank, and forward controls! Nice sporty. I am again thinking of another sporty and it will be an 883...or maybe a well used 800 Intruder with 24,000 miles...

Re: My GZ 's top speed seems low

If there is a vacuum leak the engine will rev up a bit when the WD40 is sprayed there. It gives the engine more fuel.
My GZ runs great, no missing or popping but it will only run 65 on level and...

Re: Two Leaks, two easy repairs

I am thinking you were really lucky with the WD40, as it is not a penetrating oil. Many years of experience has convinced me KanoKroil cannot be beat as a penetrating oil.

I probably made a mistake

Yesterday I was offered a 2000 MotoGuzzi Jackal for $2500 and I passed on it. Looks great and I was assured it wouldn't last the weekend at that price. Actually, from what I am reading, it would be...

Re: relal km/mileage in my bike

No way I am aware of to tell for sure. My rear tire needs replaced at 3300 miles, but the previous owner was a young kid that gutted the muffler and I am sure he abused the bike some. It possible...

Re: Thinking about life after GZ..already..

Wow, you are sure to get a lot of different opinions on this one. While I love Harleys and they have an appeal no other bike has, I still think if I were going on trips over 300 miles I would want a...

Re: Need a little more torque
