The standard answer is: You should never repair a motorcycle tire.
The situation is a little different for the GZ, however, since it has a tube. If the tire is relatively new and the puncture is small and clean......then a new tube and a patch (boot) on the inside should fix you right up.
If the tire is more than 3 years old, I'd replace it.
And if you have to ask about replacing it yourself, then you probably should NOT try it. On a spoked rim, you can end up damaging the rim if you mess up.
