A few years ago when I was riding a 150 lb honda scooter, I parked it next to a guy in a parking lot. He asked, "What's to stop someone from stealing it?" I said, "The law." Ultimately that's about it. Th Gz doesn't weight much and tow people could probably cart it off but what are they going to get? Some parts that are going to be hard to unload or at best if they can get it titled, maybe 2000.00. Not worth most crooks time.
As for me, I rarely even lock up the helmet. You don't live in NYC anymore. |
Same here. My helmet is on the back rest and I've even left my leather jacket draped over the seat along with my gloves. No one seems to bother with items left on a motorcycle down here. Maybe because they figure most of us carry. lol
