Well.......I'm back. Unfortunately I didn't get to Simon's bike club. When I phoned him, he explained that they'd moved venue to Askern, at the other side of Doncaster. When I phoned the taxi company, they wanted £25 each way. so that meant £50 ($77.14) for the return trip. Afraid it was just too expensive for a couple of hours at the pub.
