I think that is how my mirrors adjusted. I can see my forearm/elbow in the bottom corners of the mirrors but when stopped lights I don't see anyone right behind me. I have to turn the bars and tuck in my arm to see anyone. I don't see the car behind me but more what would be on the side of that car. If that makes sense. It makes me nervous not knowing whats behind me. I have tried moving the mirrors in but then I my arm covers half the mirror and I still can't see behind me. My only thoughts are to make a new bar for the mirror to move it more toward the end of the handlebars.
