Historic Chickamauga Battlefield

One great place to ride in Georgia is the Chickamauga Battlefield. Naturistic two lane roads and slow driving makes that everyday pace slow down, lots of pull-offs, cabins, cannons exc. Really beautiful ride and less than 20 miles away from busy Fort Olg. makes finding a bite to eat easy.

Re: Historic Chickamauga Battlefield

I will second that. Except that I prefer to ride my bicycle through the battlefield. Especially the off-shoots and old camping roads. Also, on a bike, you can't scare away the deer with all of the muffler noise.

Just last year, when riding with my family, I had to run back and get some fix-a-flat for my sister. On the way back to where she had a blow-out, I came face to face with a Doe not more than 6 feet away from me. We sat there and stared at each other for about 2 minutes until an approaching car finally spooked her.... lousy humanity!

I hadn't noticed that you were from my neck of the woods! Welcome aboard.
