Celebrated my 66th b-day yesterday. Been retired for 6 years as of this coming April Fools Day. Lynda got me the ideal time piece for an old retired guy. As you can see I was up at a quarter past Thursday. Nap time is at half past Thursday.

Since I retired, I found instances where I have to check to see what the day or date is. Once there is no need to know this for work, it has little meaning and is easy to lose track.

If I am in an accident and the medic asks me what the date or day is, I most likely will not know, even without a head injury!

I stopped remembering what day it is about 5 years ago. If a medic asks me it will always be "today". lol. I got a Gold Seiko when I retired and have never thought it was worth wearing unless I wanted to decorate my wrist. I stopped wearing a Timex a month after retirement.
It is now half past Thursday more or less. That's close enough.

About the only reason now I have to know what day it is is that you don't miss something really important on TV, like American Idol, Bill Maher (if you can stay up that late), Spartacus, and other such drivel that occupies your idle time.
