set the the spring on the plug & gasket than get a little grease to stable the round stopper on the top of the
plug and carefulley put the unit with the plug in & at the same time shift the shifter carefulley & slowly back & forth
at one point it should drop down into place than you can tighten it up

I 4got to add to this the stopper sits on top of the spring with the round part sticking up & the flat part of it sits on the spring top
than the bottom of the spring sits on the top of the plug & screw it in
