New member says thanks

I came across this site while I was looking at a GZ250. The information I found here convinced me to go ahead with my purchase of a 2001 GZ250 with 3,000 miles on the odometer. I am especially thankful for the luggage rack post by Hugemoth. My luggage rack is not perfect but it certainly gets the job done. I have been asked where I purchased it. The first modification I made was to install a 16 tooth sprocket. Mine was ordered from the Bike Bandit web site and arrived within a few days. Install time was probably 30 minutes with the help of my new jack stands made with the help of Badbob's post.
I continue to read every post looking for tips and advice. My first oil change is quickly approaching.
The GZ250 is bike 12 for me and I am enjoying it as well or better than most of the first 11.

Welcome aboard! That's a mighty clean bike.

Great job on the Hugemoth luggage rack. :2tup: I'm working on one myself and hope to finish it next weekend. What trunk do you have installed?

Thanks. The trunk is a Saddlemen brand measuring 15" wide, 13" deep, and 11" high. The trunk is a good size for my commute to work and it will easily hold a helmet. The trunk could have been larger because the rack is strong enough to carry alot of weight.

What kind of windshield is that on your bike?

The windshield is a National Brand. It seems to be a N2320? It measures 20" wide and 23" tall and came with the bike when I bought it.
I have raised the windshield to the maximum height and also had to re-locate the signal lights. Will probably look at s slipstreamer later this year.
