Running on Ethanol

I don't know if anyone's tried this, but I think it would be interesting to see a GZ250 running on alcohol. I read in the service manual and all it said was that it wasn't recommended. I suspect since you'd be running really really really lean. E85 has an ideal combustion ratio of about 9.7 to 1 where Gasoline is about 14.7 to 1. I don't plan to do this myself but I thought it would be an intersting topic to discuss.

While we're at it... any thoughts on a propane conversion?

Propane? Be kinda funny with that propane tank mounted to the sissy bar and a big flammable decal on it.

I've heard of em running on alcohol and even kerosene in emergency situations

 yea the propane tank with flames would ROCK! You could probably use 4 of those coleman propane tanks and put them in ammo can saddle bags for stealth.

Lol .. 4 camping tanks in the ammo cans. Might as well replace the lids with coleman burners.

Not only does it power your bike but it cooks your breakfast!
