Update!!!! I've just had a phone call to say that they're coming to pick me up at nine tomorrow morning, and I'm to have physiotherapy three times a week :- Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'll keep you posted.

It's my third week of physiotherapy, and I'm walking much better now, so yesterday I thought I'd see if I might be able to ride again. The bike's been standing for three months, so I charged up the battery, and it started first time. I took a ride round the underground parking, but, unfortunately, I found that I couldn't operate the shift easily, because of my leg. Oh well, summer's here, but it doesn't look like I'll be riding for a while yet.
