Spark Plug Screw-On Tip?

Replacing the spark plug for the first time. When I removed the plug, the screw-on tip is missing. Is this correct or is the tip stuck up inside the boot?

Had this happen to me as well. Mine was stuck in the boot. Pried it out (gently) and all is well!
