Harley Cop Bike Seat - A little big, but super comfortable.

I picked up a Harley cop-bike solo seat (the air compressor kind, minus the air piston), and installed it on my Street Fighter.

The installation was actually insanely easy. Using the mounting points from the fuel tank, I switched the "flip up" brackets that came with the seat ( they used to have the mounting points on the outside, i just swapped them so they fit on the inside. To better understand what I'm talking about see item #2

With a few washers, and a longer bolt I was able to put the lock mechanism from the stock seat (#1) on, and now this seat locks into the stock catch (#3) easily.

The best part is it's now on a hinge, so when you open the compartment it just rotates on the hinge and stays up. :2tup:

Here's a picture of the hinge from the side:

The seat is very comfortable, and has some built in springs and foam. As it's a bit wide, I do plan on trimming down the side foam a bit, but not too much.

Here's the back:

Here's one on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/150618127866

Don't pay too much for these. Guys buy the Cop bike, then immediately take off this seat and replace it. You can find them cheap if you look. around.

If you have any questions let me know.

If it's a walk-through, teaching people how to do something, it should go here.
Keep up the good work.

After my 3-hour ride on the weekend that seat looks SOOOOOO good! :2tup:

I think you just disqualified you bike from being a 'street fighter' though!!
