Looking for a sissy bar that doesn't cost an arm and a leg

New here and have gone through several pages looking at what everyone else has done. Just picked up a 2008 gz250 and now I'm looking for a sissy bar on the cheap.

Anyone know if this will work with some added holes?

This one seems to be of a little better quality without rack but can add rack later.

Predrilled holes are at 8.5 inches and on the GZ they are at 7 inches so I know I would have to drill some new holes which isn't a problem. Thought the price would be hard to beat.

Awesome price. This particular rack is a lot wider than one for the GZ. You have to make the GZ fatter or the rack narrower. That could be a deal killer.

Well that is a bummer. Added the second one to that post probably while you were looking and/or responding to my question.

Imagine both of these are too wide.

It looks like the brackets could be mounted in a way that would allow a narrower mounting point. Switch sides for the brackets and mount them to the inside. Should gain an inch or so.

Well spent gas money! Ended up ordering this one and it worked out great!

Had to drill 2 5/16 holes and purchased a few longer bolts so I spent about $10 on hardware. Total before tax: $56.90 from Amazon + $10 or so for bolts and nuts.

Got it mounted tonight took about an hour an 2 trips to the hardware store.

Sorry for the potato quality cell phone pic from the garage.

Deleted pic since it kinda broke the page.

See next post!
