Thanks guys for all your sympathy. I was thinking of going for a 1999 suzuki with 30,000 for 2000 bucks.. same color but i thought ya know.. insurance is only 150 a year more then the 250, and this is one nice machine with 3 Givi trunks so i couldnt resist and the people im dealing with are good folk so i feel rest assured.

wish me luck, ill pop n every now and then to see whats happening in the GZ world.. who knows i may be back on another one day

I was more sentimentally sad after i realized my bones were intact that the GZ had bit the dust.
So many chain cleans, valve adjustments, wash downs.. ahhh those sunny days. hahahha

Its been an educational experience sharing this forum with others users. Cheers guys .

I echo JWR's statement. Many of us on here no longer ride the GZ, but it is a great community of people that I like to stay in touch with and I hope you will as well. :2tup:

I guess that last message sounded more like a send off haha..

The bandit is a whole new world to me and i treat it with respect. 4 cylinder 4 carburators. Holy moly no more carburator tinkering. this thing is power and more. Im speechless when i ride it and compare my old bike. But all i have to say. The GZ WILL be missed. undoubtedly. It was simplicity fun and economy in a classy little package. I often wonder if one day ill go back . Seriously.

But i will enjoy this beast for now. heres a pic

Nice looking bike.A frind of mine has a 1200 Bandit,same color.Very dependable and fast.

Sharp looking Bandit you got there. A word of caution though. The stock signals should be classified as useless. Same as my Vstrom signals. Do yourself a favor and line the inner surface of the housing with white reflective tape as there is nothing in there but a bare bulb in a black housing. That will make them somewhat more visible. As my Vstrom has 4 way flashers I took advantage of the extra flasher capacity and installed 50 watt halogen super bright back up auto bulbs in the signals. Muuuccch better and I do feel safer. Can't use the 4 way now because of the draw from 4 bulbs but so what. Or go to a Buell dealer and get their signals. They are more flexible and don't break off readily while being quite bright and using less power than the 50 watt bulbs I use. Many Vstrom riders have done just that with good results.
Oh, the back up bulbs are at Canuckie Tire.
