New member with First "commuter" bike

Hello all. New guy here from NY, just picked up a '99 for a song.

I've had a vfr, katana 600 and a ninja 900 but I must be getting old because I now find the idea of a small commuter bike that will keep me out of trouble and save me money on gas, rather attractive. Especially since I now drive a 1ton van.

Anyway, I haven't been able to ride it yet but I got it running and plan to cafe it a little. I hate the cruiser look. Being a mechanic, I'll be tinkering a lot with the bike myself but I'm sure I'll be picking the brains of the collective experience here. Overall seems like a decent little forum with good support. My first question will be posted shortly.
