Hello from Indiana

Hello, I'm from west central Indiana. I haven't owned a motorcycle since 1990, thats when I got married. Until then I had owned motorcycles since I was 8 years old. When I first started riding I raced motorcross, hare scrambles, and rode in trials. When I got my license in 1976 I got a Yamaha RD350 I rode that bike everywhere I just carried extra spark plugs in case I didn't keep the RPM's up enough. In the 80's I owned a Kawasaki KZ400 I liked this bike but it was a little cumbersome and the handling wasn't there. When I bought my KZ250 last week I didn't really know much about this bike and I have already ran 200 miles on it and love it. :neener: Most of my riding will consist of urban and back roads. Well that's about it see you out there.

If so, welcome aboard.

Blue 2007 completely stock GZ250. Had 1 mile on it last week when I bought it, now has about 350. At this time don't really see any changes that I want to make. It is the smallest road bike I've owned, but it is a blast to ride. Plenty quick for me and what I want. I plan using it to commute to work, and for some longer rural rides on my days off. Thanks for the welcome :2tup:

I thought that I had read that somewhere. Thompsons is also where I bought my 250. My commute to work is only about 6 miles, but with the current gas prices it looks like buying the bike was a good decision, whether my wife thinks so or not. :neener:

Part of the big picture is saving the cage from wear and tear. It will last longer and be cheaper in the long run. Sometimes a bike is hard to justify to a wife or SO but you gotta have fun too.
