Re: Hi from Marietta, GA

Indeed, what I meant is: ask the shop if they did the 600 mile service, or did they ask the PO if it were done.

For details, please download the service manual:

Hills tend to be the GZ's enemy. In fact a slight grade and a headwind will have you down a gear in no time. Having to plan ahead and take a run at a hill is not always in the cards due to traffic or other conditions.

I'll ask them Tues... but I don't expect any real answer. I suspect I will have to take to a Suzuki place and have it done anyways... twice is better then naught I think.

Cost projections anyone?

Re: Hi from Marietta, GA

A valve check and adjust is a 1 hour job in the book. Ask what the hourly labor rate is and go from there.

As for a new wardrobe the sky is the limit. Sometimes the first jacket or pants will be completely satisfying and other times you have to go around 3 or 4 times before you find the right fit. Between Lynda and myself we can fill a closet with riding gear. We have also given away some gear that we no longer wear to a rider or pillion who needs an update in gear.

Just paid my annual tax ($15 equivalent). Noticed on the receipt that it's identified as a GZ250K7. The bike's a 2007, so what you've written is correct, about it relating to the year. This is the first time I've noticed it.
