Helmet Visor help

I have a problem with my visor and glasses fogging up when im riding. It doesnt happen all the time, and i usually have to crack it open a bit to get it to clear.

Anyone have any tips to help reduce this? I have no clue as to what brand it is, and it does have 2 top vents and a mouth vent, but i see no difference if theyre open or not.

also, since it was raining on the way home, anyone ever use rain-x on their sheilds? thanks~!

I have not tried any of the anti-fogging chemicals discussed where, when mine fogs up I usually just breathe in through my nose, and breathe out by blowing air down, out of the helmet. That does help keep the fogging down. And crack the visor a bit.

Re: Helmet Visor help

There are antifog cloths you can try - you can probably get them anywhere they sell ski goggles. They work pretty well on ski goggles. I just open the my shield a crack (an option not available for ski goggles.)

There is another thread on here that discusses Rain-X. To me it was somewhat inconclusive - I think it depended on whether you consider your face shield to be plastic or poly carbonate (I always thought polycarbonate WAS plastic, but I'm not an engineer.) Search for Rain-X and you will find it. I think Rain-X woud go on the OUTSIDE and is for RAIN. The anti fog wipe is for the INSIDE.

Re: Helmet Visor help

I have the same problem. I have tried using the anti-fog spray/wipes on the sheild which seems to work a little bit.

However I saw this mask at Cycle Gear that seems like its a goog idea.
