GW 250

Clearly inspired from the generic design of the acclaimed B-King, the 2013 Suzuki GW250 is yet another small-displacement motorcycle for the beginners and even for those past the entry level.

With each new bike under 500cc we think more and more about this massive shift in the markets, with customers staring looking for smaller bikes with better mileage for the everyday commuting needs and even for some leisure time around the city.

Here's the 2013 Suzuki GW250, powered by a 248cc liquid-cooled 2-in-line engine delivering up to 26 BHP and sporting enhanced maneuverability thanks to its light construction. This 4-stroke bike weighs around 400 lbs (181 kg) and comes with a 6-speed gearbox, chain final transmission and a classic wet sump clutch.

The engine is fuel-injected and also comes with a convenient electric starter and disc brakes for both wheels. The rumored price will be around $4,099 (€3,230), making it a direct adversary for the likes of the Honda CBR250.

Re: GW 250

I really think it is too little too late.

With the Ninja 300, the 250 and now 3 different 500cc models coming from Honda, competition for the smaller market has heated up.

Every one is in the game with new models except Yamaha, and I am sure they have something on the drawing board.

Re: GW 250

The GW 250 is a little heavy but would still be a nice ride. I do like Honda's offering of 3 different 500 models for the riding folks to choose from. Just big enough to do it all but small enough to be handy and economical. Over the last few years a lot of 500 cc bikes have disappeared from the market. Time for a comeback.
